Our Story


Evolve Training Systems was founded in 2007 as a one man operation by David Stojanov.

Evolve was started because we noticed that most gyms all have the same model.

Generic meal plans, generic training plans, no tailored and personalised support.

There was no consideration to a person's lifestyle habits, unique injury history and specific needs.

This meant that most people would pay their membership and simply not get the results the signed up for.

Determined to do something about it - after being a head trainer for a number of leading national gym chain's, Evolve opened its first dedicated facility in 2015.

We wanted to do things differently to every other gym in Melbourne.

We wanted people to know that if you came to Evolve and you were willing to put in the work - you'd get the result you were after.

The programs were designed with only one goal - to get the client their desired goal.

Whether it was building strength, losing fat, increasing mobility, winning a bodybuilding competition, improving sports-related performance - we created a system to deliver strong outcomes one after the other.

Our objective was basically to be the opposite of most gyms.

No ego's, no attitudes and friendly to all who came through the doors.

We only ask that people give 150% and we can help you with the rest.

You're not just a number at Evolve, you're part of the family and there's a reason many of our member's have been with us for several years.

Our team is heavily trained, have won many competitions, how been to countless courses - all to show that they walk the walk.

Our training model is centred around nutrition, training and mindset. We know that if it was as simple as going to a gym and eating a little bit better - everyone would do it.

Truth is - getting (and staying) in incredible shape also requires a specific mindset to stay committed, especially when you don't feel like training.
